The Internationale Stichting Masterclass Apeldoorn organises the 19th edition of Masterclass Apeldoorn. This event will take place August 22–28 2009 in Theatre and Congress Centre Orpheus, in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.
Master classes will be given by four top musicians of international reputation. They are intended for talented conservatory students and graduates from all countries. They will come to Apeldoorn to be inspired individually or in chamber music ensembles by the masters, who teach so stunningly that their lessons even for auditors are an unforgettable experience.
There will be also concerts by the participants and by the teachers themselves. Through the years Masterclass Apeldoorn has grown into a high class chamber music event. During Masterclass 2008 a video impression was made.
These are the teachers who will give the classes this year:
Gary Hoffman-cello, Pascal Devoyon-piano, Philippe Graffin-violin, Ásdís Valdimarsdóttir-viola
Since many years Colin Carr has been cello teacher at Masterclass Apeldoorn. He will not be able to join the event this year, and the organisation is very happy to have Gary Hoffman in his place. Charles Neidich has been clarinet teacher at Masterclass Apeldoorn since many years. He also is not able to attend the Masterclass this year.
